The Orchestra

With a growing reputation of excellence and artistic quality, The Boston Chamber Orchestra (BCO) provides exciting concerts in the U.S. and abroad. Performing works which span the repertoire, the BCO regularly treats audiences to revered classics , hidden gems, and commissions new works from up and coming composers. The BCO has frequently collaborated with some of Boston’s leading performance artists and educators.

As a testament to ensemble’s artistry, the BCO has been engaged in many recording projects. This includes performing on the Boston String Quartet album Xibus.  The BCO has also recorded soundtracks for international television broadcasts including “Rinjo, The Movie”(2012) “Iryu Sousa 1-3 season” and “Kikaider Reboot.”

The BCO released its first solo CD in the fall of 2014, and has recorded with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Several other CD recordings are also available online.

Aside from projects in the US, the BCO has toured intentionally including twice in Japan and appeared as part of the Kyushu International Festival.

What others say about the BCO:

“…musicians of the Boston Chamber Orchestra gave a richly detailed, powerful and polished performance of the Marcel Tyberg sextet… Balance and ensemble playing was beautifully executed within a highly nuanced interpretation. Throughout the performance, the musicians imparted color and grand scope to each movement. The result was a near orchestral balance of sound. The scherzo offered cleanly articulated playing while the Adagio offered burnished tone and poetic sensitivity.”

– JoAnn Falletta,  Music Director of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Principal Conductor of the Ulster Orchestra in Belfast, Northern Ireland

“The Boston Chamber Orchestra is a highly dynamic, young group of musicians… I hope to continue working together in the future!
